How Invisalign Works

The first step of the Invisalign process is the consultation, which is when Dr. Erin Peters will determine if you’re a good candidate. If you are, then she will create your custom treatment plan and have a series of clear aligners made. Each one will be worn for 20-22 hours a day and for 1-2 weeks at a time. Every 6-8 weeks, you’ll come to our office so we can monitor the movement of your teeth and, if you’re on track with your treatment plan, provide you with the next several sets of aligners in the series. Oftentimes, patients progress through their entire series of trays in just 12-18 months!

Who Invisalign Can Help

To date, Invisalign has helped more than 17 million patients. So, it’s quite versatile! While the only way we can know for certain if you’re a good candidate is by completing a comprehensive oral exam, the clear aligners have proven to effectively address:

Crowded Teeth

If there isn’t enough room in your mouth for your teeth to sit in their properly aligned positions, they will push against each other, rotating out of position in the process. Unfortunately, this can negatively impact your self-esteem and your oral health over time. That’s why we recommend exploring your treatment options, like Invisalign.

Gaps Between Teeth

Of course, many patients are struggling with the opposite problem: there is so much space in their mouths that there are noticeable gaps between their teeth. If that’s the case for you, there is good news: you may not need to wear metal braces. If we decide together that Invisalign is the best treatment for you, then we will have a custom series of aligners made to gently close the gaps.

Bite Alignment

Do you have an overbite, underbite, crossbite, or open bite? If your case isn’t too severe, then Invisalign may be an option. So, don’t just assume that traditional braces are the only path to a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing smile!

The Benefits of Invisalign

Over two decades since its debut, Invisalign continues to be one of the most sought-after orthodontic treatments because:

  • There aren’t monthly adjustment appointments.
  • Maintaining a healthy smile is easy because the aligners are removable.
  • The average treatment timeline is only 12-18 months.
  • There aren’t any dietary restrictions.
  • The aligners are virtually undetectable.

How Much Does Invisalign Cost?

There’s no such thing as a cookie-cutter Invisalign treatment. In order to create yours, we need to consider several factors, including if any preliminary care is needed, if single-arch treatment is possible, and how many aligners need to be made. Then, we can provide you with an estimate of the cost and review the different financial solutions available, including dental insurance and flexible financing.
